Who we are
About Aptitudo
The short answer
Aptitudo is an online career test for Indian students from Class 9 to college, and for early professionals. It looks at your interests, thinking, personality and values, then shows the careers and courses that fit, with the reason for each. It is built on published research models and scored by one fixed rule; an AI only explains. Nine tests are free.

Who it is for
Students deciding on a stream, a course or a first job, and people early in their working life who want to check their direction.
You need to be at least twelve. Under 18, a parent agrees before Career Discovery starts, and before a free test's result is shown. Everything is in English.
What you get
Nine free tests that are complete on their own, and one full report.
- Interest Explorer, about twenty minutes: sixty activities, and how much each of six kinds of work appeals to you.
- Personality Snapshot, about four minutes: five traits, a named summary, and what each one looks like in your week.
- Personality Snapshot Deep, about nine minutes: the longer five trait picture: fifty questions, ten on each trait.
- Study Habits Snapshot, about four minutes: how you tend to go about your work, across six ways of working.
- Curiosity Snapshot, about three minutes: how you like to find things out, across four kinds of curiosity.
- Working With People Snapshot, about three minutes: how you tend to work with people: speaking up, warmth, trust and disagreement.
- Work Values Sorter, about twelve minutes: what you want from work, in words you may never have used. Ages 16 and over.
- Subject Sorter, about five minutes: two quick questions about each of your school subjects, and your own answers handed back.
- Day Shape Sorter, about three minutes: twelve ways a working day can be shaped. Say which ones you want, and see the kinds of work where each is an ordinary day.
- Career Discovery, about fifty five minutes: interests, thinking strengths, personality, values, readiness and real situations, then careers and courses ranked for you with the reasons shown. ₹999, or ₹1,499 with Plus, paid only if you open the report.

How it works
Published models, one fixed rule, and an AI that explains but never scores.
- Interests follow Holland's six interest types (RIASEC); personality, the Big Five; thinking strengths, the CHC model of abilities; work values, the O*NET work values framework.
- Every answer is kept, and you can read what was asked, what you chose and in what order.
- One fixed, versioned rule turns answers into scores. It is the same for everyone, and the same answers always give the same scores.
- Close calls are called close. Rushed or contradictory answers lower confidence, and the report says so.
- In Career Discovery, an AI writes the plain language explanation from your scores. The finished report is scanned for percentile, peer rank and pay promise claims, and says that an AI wrote it.
The methodology page names every model, its source and its licence.
How we are paid
We sell the report, never a course.
Nobody pays for a place in your report, and we earn nothing from any course or college you choose. So the report can point you to a path we gain nothing from.
Your data
Your answers and reports are stored in India, and you decide what happens to them.
They are kept in a database in the Mumbai region. You can read every answer, download your data and erase your account from Settings, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Erasing removes everything that identifies you; the answers are kept only without your name, for research. The services that write the AI explanation and send email may process limited data outside India. The privacy policy and the data rights page give the detail.
How to reach a person
Write to support@aptitudo.app.
For a complaint about your data or the service, the Grievance Officer is named, with the time within which you will hear back.
What any test cannot tell you
Aptitudo has no Indian norm group yet, so it never ranks you against other students. It does not predict exam results, admission, a job or income, and nothing in it is a diagnosis.
