What it is

What is Aptitudo?

An online career test. It looks at what you enjoy, how you tend to act, how you handle a few short thinking tasks, and what you want from work. Then it shows the careers and courses that fit those answers, with the reason for each. It is for students from Class 9 to college, and for people early in their working life.

Is Aptitudo a psychometric test?

No. It is a career test built on published research models: Holland's six interest types (RIASEC), the Big Five personality traits, the CHC model of thinking abilities and the O*NET work values framework. A full psychometric test also publishes evidence that it is consistent and measures what it claims, and compares you with a norm group. Aptitudo has not yet published a norm study or reliability figures for the questions it wrote, so it describes how you answered and never ranks you against other students. Career test vs psychometric test explains the difference.

What does Career Discovery give me?

Your interests, strengths, personality and values in plain words; the career families that fit, with the reasons; your five closest courses, with longer ranked lists to browse (before Class 11, how well Science, Commerce and Arts fit you); and a six month action calendar with what to do next. You keep it as a PDF, and every result shows the scores behind it. See a sample report.

Does it choose my stream or career for me?

It narrows the field. It ranks careers and courses by how well they fit your answers and gives the reason for each, so you can check it. The decision stays yours, and you can read the report with a parent, a teacher or a counsellor.

Price and payment

How much does it cost, and when do I pay?

Career Discovery is ₹999, or ₹1,499 with Plus. You answer every question first, then pay once, only if you choose to open the report. If your report is not ready within 24 hours, you can have a full refund. Nine other tests are free and need no card. See every price.

What does Plus add?

Your fifteen closest courses instead of five and two of them compared side by side (both from Class 11), a plan for the next twenty four months, an eighteen month action calendar instead of six, an AI guide you can ask about your own report for thirty days within a chat allowance, a Parent session PDF if you are under 18, and one free retake between six and twenty four months. You can move up to Plus within seven days for ₹500.

How long does it take?

Career Discovery takes about fifty five minutes. Progress saves after every answer, so you can stop and come back. The free tests take about three to twenty minutes each.

Age, account and data

Is there an age limit?

You must be at least twelve. If you are under 18, a parent agrees before Career Discovery starts. On the free tests you can answer first, and your result opens once a parent agrees. The Work Values Sorter is for ages 16 and over.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You log in with a code sent to your email before any test, so your answers are saved to you. There is no password.

Where is my data kept, and can I delete it?

Your answers and reports are stored in India, in a database in the Mumbai region. You can read every answer, download your data, and erase your account from Settings. Erasing removes everything that identifies you; the answers are kept only without your name, for research. The services that write the AI explanation and send email may process limited data outside India, and the privacy policy names them. Your rights under India's DPDP Act are on the data rights page.

Is it available in Hindi or other languages?

No. Aptitudo is in English only.

Can I use a screen reader?

Partly. Three of the four timed tasks in Career Discovery are drawn on a canvas and cannot be read aloud yet. You pay only after the test, so nothing is charged if this stops you, and if you have already paid you get a full refund. Write to support@aptitudo.app.

The report

Who writes the report? Is it AI?

Your scores come from your answers through one fixed, published rule, with no AI in that step. In Career Discovery, an AI writes the plain language explanation from your scores; the finished report is scanned for percentile, peer rank and pay promise claims, and says that an AI wrote it. The free tests use fixed templates and no AI at all.

What if my result feels wrong?

Every result shows the scores behind it, so you can see where it came from. If you rushed, the report says so.

Does anyone pay to appear in my report?

No. Nothing in the ranking is paid for, and we earn nothing from any course or college you choose afterwards.

How do I reach a person?

Write to support@aptitudo.app. For a complaint about your data or the service, the Grievance Officer's details are on the grievance page.

What any test cannot tell you

No career test, ours included, can tell you your marks, an entrance result, whether you will get a seat, or how a job will turn out. It describes you as you are now, from your own answers, and people change. Use it as one good input next to your marks and the people who know you.
